Bioactive CaTiO3 film prepared on the biomedical porous Ti–15Mo alloy by one-step hydrothermal treatment

The bioactive CaTiO3 film was grown on the surface of microwave sintered porous Ti–15Mo alloy by one-step hydrothermal process in supersaturated Ca(OH)2 solution. microstructures and apatite-forming ability cytocompatibility hydrothermally treated were then investigated. results show that sample has a thickness approximately 250 nm is mainly composed phase with some –OH groups except α-Ti β-Ti phases. structure no significant change after treatment. When immersed SBF solution, hydroxyapatite preferentially nucleates grows inner pore sites, forming layer calcium-deficient apatite finally. treatment demonstrated to facilitate proliferation MG-63 cells over (p < 0.01), promote from Grade 1 non-toxic material 0.
